About the Course

Only participants who have properly registered and paid in advance of the workshop will be allowed in the classroom. No “walk-in” participants will be accepted in the course, nor will any participants who bring children. Upon entering the workshop, each participant will be required by CCCS to show a valid picture identification, to present his/her bankruptcy case number, and to sign in on an attendance sheet. Participants must also bring an ink pen to complete coursework throughout the class. Each session will be limited to 30 students to promote a quality learning environment and to allow the instructor enough time to adequately address individual concerns and questions. Each course will last approximately 3.5 hours. Any participant who is late or absent during any portion of the class, will be required to take the course at another time during which they can be present for the entire duration.

Facilities

Pre-Discharge Bankruptcy Education Programs are taught at two different middle Georgia locations. These sites are located in Macon and Warner Robins, Georgia. The course site in Macon is the Peyton Anderson Community Services Building, located at 277 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. W., Macon GA 31201, directly across the street from the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. The location for these programs in Warner Robins is in the board room of our satellite office, located at 748 N. Houston Rd., Suite H, Warner Robins, GA 31093. Both buildings have facilities, including entry areas and restrooms that are completely handicapped accessible, both inside and out. In addition, the Macon location is located near public transportation. Public transportation is not available in Warner Robins. Each building has a generous amount of convenient parking spaces and designated areas for those who may be physically challenged.

Course Certification

At the end of the course, each participant who completed the entire session will be awarded a certificate of completion. Each participant is then responsible for presenting the certificate of completion to his or her attorney or to the court so that a petition can be filed to complete the discharge. If a participant loses his/her certificate or if a replacement or duplicate is warranted, a $10 replacement fee will be charged and the certificate must be reissued by the instructor or supervisor of the course, who will validate the participant’s participation in the said course.
